How to Program Viewsat 2000 Ultra
Viewsat 2000 Ultra is an FTA receiver box that gives you the ability to view free over-the-air-channels without paying for expensive satellite or cable TV subscriptions. With this product, you can view many of these free channels, which are provided by the popular satellite TV providers. Setting up the Viewsat 2000 Ultra is a moderately challenging process that anyone with a little focus and concentration can perform.

Using the Viewsat remote, select "Menu," "Installation," and then "Antenna Setup," and press "OK."

Select the following settings on the screen. (Note that the "Satellite" setting of "Echo 8, 10" is for example purposes only. Specify the satellite of your choice for this setting.)
Satellite: Echo 8,10
LNB Power: On
LNB Type: OCS-DP
LNB Freq: 11250
TP Freq: 12224
DiSEqC 1.0: Port 1
Motor: Off
Legacy SW: None -

Check to see if you get a steady signal and quality picture. If not, play around with the TP Freq setting; if TP Freq adjustments do not generate any improvement, try adjusting the LNB Freq setting.

When you have a steady signal and quality picture, wait 20 seconds or so, and then check to see if a satellite name appears besides "Antenna Setup" (in the top-right corner of TV screen, on the blue bar in white lettering). This should match with the selection you made for the Satellite setting. For example, if you selected Echo 8,10, Echostar 8,10 110.0W should appear in the top-right corner of screen beside "Antenna Setup."

Press "Exit." The program will ask if you want to save; select "Yes."

Using the Viewsat remote, select "Menu," "Installation," and then "Autoscan," and press "OK."

Select the following settings on the screen that appears:
Search Option: All
Network Search: OnMake sure Echostar 8,10 is selected (checked) below in the satellite list. Select "Scan Start" and press "OK." This will start searching the channels available on your selected satellites.

Press "Exit" (after the channel scan is done). The program will ask if you want to save; select "Yes." Reboot your Viewsat 2000 Ultra and enjoy the channels.

Tips & Warnings
The settings in this article are meant for receiving channels from the Echo 8, 10 Satellite. The TP Freq setting will change accordingly to scan channels from any other satellite you specify.
