How to Connect Camping Screen Tents

Camping screen tents can be connected together to hold more campers and equipment or materials inside. If you have two camping screen tents that are identical or close in height, connecting them will be an easy task that requires minimal effort. With just an extra rainfly, you can connect your camping screen tents to accommodate your needs.

Instructions

    • 1

Position both of your screen tents next to each other, side by side. Set the two tents as close as possible. The two sides with the zip-open door should face each other to make a walkway.

    • 2

Put the rainfly over the two tents. Make sure that you have enough coverage for the gap between the two camping tents. The rainfly makes a waterproof protection against rainy weather. Consider choosing a rainfly that comes with taped seams as this will increase weather resistance.

    • 3

Secure the rainfly by using its pole wraps. Tighten it down with its grommet attachments and adjustable tensioners. Stake your rainfly down firmly and tightly on all sides.

    • 4

Make a connecting walkway from the inside of your tent by unzipping its openings. This forms one large camping tent made of two connected screen tents.

Tips & Warnings

  • Be sure to secure the rainfly firmly to withstand the elements.

  • Use a rainfly that is big enough in size to cover the gap between the two screened tents.

  • Choose an extra rainfly that is easy to set up and lightweight to bring along. It should also be complete with all assembly parts.
