How to Burn a DVD With Mininova and Nero
Mininova is one of the largest BitTorrent index sites. Essentially, an indexing system breaks a file into slivers of data from many different computers. The torrent is a map of the slivers. As more users, or peers, begin to download the torrent, the index site adds a sliver from their computers into the equation. The result is a new, complete file for all peers. The technology of a BitTorrent indexing system, also referred to as a peer-to peer network, will allow you to download a movie using a torrent software program and burn it to a DVD using Nero.
Instructions
-
Download the Torrent Program

1
Open up the website for uTorrent and click "Free Download." uTorrent is not the only torrent software available but it is free and easy to use. The torrent software takes instructions from the index site, Mininova, downloads the small pieces of the file and then compiles them into one complete file on your computer.

2
Install the program. If you are using uTorrent, just follow the instructions on the screen.
-
-
3
Open uTorrent on your computer to make sure it's working. At the bottom of the window, you should see a green check mark. If you don't, you may need to adjust some of the settings by opening "Options" on the program menu. Follow the instructions provided by the software to make any necessary changes.

Tips & Warnings
These instruction are for Nero 9 but steps will be very similar on earlier versions.
Movies are copyright protected, so downloading movies that you have not purchased may be illegal. Many sites, such as Amazon, allow you to purchase movies and download them.
Downloading from any peer-to-peer network carries some risk. You may download a file that has a worm or virus. It's always a good idea to read some of the comments left for the torrent before you download. If it does not work or has a virus, the comments will usually indicate there's a problem. Just reading the comments can save you a lot of time and trouble later.
