Take your screwdriver and remove the screws securing the memory cover. Then take the screws securing the laptop hard drive out.

    • 4

Remove the laptop memory module. Take the hard drive and slide it to the right. This will disconnect it from the system board. After you're done with this, you can remove the hard drive.

    • 5

Take out all marked screws on the bottom of the laptop. Make sure to keep track of them so you know which screw goes into what when reassembling the laptop.

    • 6

Insert your screwdriver under the keyboard securing strip. Do this step with the utmost care, especially when you start to lift up because not doing so could ruin your computer. Manually continue removing the strip. Remember that the strip has a control board attached to it which you don't want to damage; otherwise, it will render your keyboard inoperable. Taking out the keyboard strip takes the most time in the dismantling process so be very patient.
