How to Learn Scooter Tricks
Over the years the modern scooter has evolved from being a basic mode of transportation to one used in extreme sport. With the advent of the Razor scooter, it is possible to perform tricks that are similar to those performed in skateboarding and BMX riding. In addition, there are even several tricks that can only be performed on a scooter. Keep in mind that, just like in any sport, learning how to do scooter tricks takes time and practice.

The Bunny Hop

Ride at a slow to medium speed. Bend your knees while holding onto the handle bars.

Pull up on the handle bars and jump at the same time. Tuck your knees into your chest to increase height.

Plant your feet firmly onto the base as you come down. Ride away at a comfortable speed.
The Tail Whip

Ride at a slow to medium speed. Bend your knees and pull harder on the handle bars to perform a much higher bunny hop.

Kick the tail around the handle bars with your foot. Plant your feet onto the base as the tail makes its way around.

Change directions. Kick the tail to the other side to add more variety.
The 360 Degree Jump

Ride at a slower than normal speed. Bend your knees and pull up on the handle bars to perform a bunny hop.

Twist your body to the left or ride side. Bring the handle bars and base of the scooter around so that it is directly in front of you.

Plant your feet and ride away. Practice spinning in different directions to increase your body awareness.

Tips & Warnings
Protect yourself with the necessary safety gear. Wear a helmet, knee pads and elbow pads.
Be comfortable with riding. Ride around for a while until you start to learn tricks. When you have a feel for riding, the tricks will be easier to perform and land.
Jump over obstacles to increase your bunny hop height.
Practice in the grass to prevent injury.
Do not attempt to ride in rainy or wet conditions.
