How to Straighten Your Hair With a Chi Iron
Even if your hair is naturally wavy or curly, you can use a flat iron to temporarily straighten out your locks. The Chi brand flat iron consists of two ceramic plates. Once these plates are heated, the iron crimps onto hair and as the hair passes through it is straightened. Shampoo and condition your hair to rid it of all styling products. Blow dry your hair before beginning the straightening process.

Clip up your hair on the top of your head and allow a section measuring about 1 to 2 inches in width remain loose.

Power on your Chi flat iron and wait for the iron to beep. This will signal it is ready to be used.

Place your hair, beginning with the roots, between the two plates of the flat iron. Move the Chi flat iron downward so that the entire length of the hair runs through the plates. Repeat this movement until the section of hair has been completely straightened.

Release another section of hair from your hair clip and run it through the Chi flat iron. Work on a small section at a time and don't move on until each section has achieved your desired look.

Bring the hair on the back of your head forward and hold it out over your shoulders. Run the hair through the two plates of the flat iron, keeping the iron moving out and away from your head. This will ensure you achieve straight hair throughout your head.
