How to Hook Up a DVD/VCR Player & a Cable Box to an LCD TV
Audio/video equipment for home theater can be connected with several types of cables to accommodate different types of equipment as well as new and older generations of gear. A DVD/VCR combo player will most likely be equipped with component cables terminating in RCA-type plugs. The plugs are color coded for straightforward connections. An LCD TV will also have component jacks for hooking up a cable service receiver box and wring it with the DVD/VCR player for recording programs to videotape or watching movies on disc and tape with the TV. Connections for this setup take only a couple of minutes.
