How to Use Aero Peek in Windows 7

Microsoft introduced Windows 7 as its flagship operating system in 2009. In Windows 7, Microsoft redesigned the taskbar and completely overhauled the system. A new and exciting feature included within the taskbar is Aero Peek, which provides you with a graphical representation of the contents of a window or stack of open windows.

Instructions

    • 1

      Move the mouse to the taskbar icon for a running application. A small square box appears for each application you have running.

      Move your mouse to a specific square to quickly peek at the application.

    • 3

      Move your mouse to a different window to preview other open applications.

    • 4

      Click on a previewed application and it appears on the desktop for you to use. Move your mouse away from the taskbar to restore your original desktop view.

Tips & Warnings

  • In order to run Aero Peek, you must be using the Aero theme.
