How to Charge an Acer Battery

Acer is a Taiwan-based company that has been manufacturing budget laptop computers for more than 10 years. Recently, the quality of batteries developed for these laptops has increased exponentially. In the early days of laptops, you would be lucky to get a charge lasting two hours; now the newer Acer models come with nearly eight hours of battery life. This is great news for those wishing to alleviate boredom on long trips.

Instructions

Charging the battery

1. Insert the battery into the back of your laptop. Make sure it snaps snugly into the back of the computer.

2. Plug your battery adaptor into an outlet near the computer.

3. Connect the free cable on your adaptor to your laptop, checking to make sure the red LED battery light is on. This means it's charging.

4. Click the "battery" icon on your computer's desktop. This brings up a menu where you can view the time needed to complete a full charge. When the battery icon reads 100 percent, it is fully charged.
