How to Create a Corporate Elevator Pitch
One of the most important things a business can do is create what's known as an elevator pitch. An elevator pitch is a summary of a company. The logic behind it is that you should be able to sumarize basic information about your organization in the time it takes for you to ride an elevator, which is typically 15 seconds.

1
Determine basic information about the company. Retrieve information such as who you are, who your customers are, who you are targeting, why you are important, and who your competition is and the reasons why you are superior to them.
-
2
Write your "hook" for your company. The hook should include information to get your prospect interested in what it is that your company does.
-
-
3
Explain what it is that your company does in the next few words. Remember to come up with specifics, such as markets you serve or exclusive products you have.
-
4
Discuss the reasons why the person you are giving the pitch to should be interested in the company. Talk about things such as what your company's plans are, your competition's weaknesses and your achievements. Remember that the person may be entertaining the elevator pitches of other companies, so make yours unique.
-
5
End your pitch by offering an opportunity for an additional connection from the person you're pitching this to. Ask if he would like more information, or if he would like to set up an appointment with you or someone else.

Tips & Warnings
Remember to use passion and enthusiasm when giving your pitch. You want to make sure the person knows your passion.
Maintain passion, but expect a rejection. If they listen to your pitch and decline, thank them, give them a business card, and carry on. Remember, it's their time, not yours.
