Instructions

    • 1

Take a small plastic funnel, or use a paper envelope and cut off one corner in order to create a makeshift funnel. Then, open the bottle of clear or white nail polish, and place the funnel over the top.

    • 2

Pour the crushed eye shadow in a color of your choice and glitter, if desired, through the funnel and into the nail polish bottle. Using a small wooden stick (such as the kind found in manicure kits), stir the polish and eye shadow combination together until the color has been absorbed. Then, close the nail polish bottle, and shake thoroughly.

    • 3

Test your newly created nail polish by brushing a small amount on a nail to see whether or not the polish goes on smoothly and evenly and whether the color is to your liking. If not, add more eye shadow, a different color or more glitter, if desired, until you're satisfied with the polish shade.

Tips & Warnings

  • You can also try making your own nail polish by simply mixing two previously opened polishes together, using complementing colors such as red and blue or pink and red. This is a simple way to use up old nail polishes and create a color that suits you.

  • Ask a few friends to come over and bring their own nail polish bottles, and then swap colors to find the best combination for new polish shades.
