How to Find the Battery Compartment of a Samsung Cell Phone
Despite their popularity, cell phones are not without fault, and you may frequently find yourself performing troubleshooting techniques on your cell phone. One of the most common troubleshooting methods involves removing the battery from the cell phone. This forces a hard reset of the phone and may fix many common errors that a Samsung cell phone is having. Before you can remove the battery, however, you must locate the battery compartment.

Turn off your phone. Whenever you are opening the battery compartment or removing the battery, it is a good idea to shut off the phone beforehand.

Look at your phone so that the screen is facing you.

Turn over the phone and look for a large piece of plastic with arrows or ridges. Samsung cell phone batteries are typically between 1 and 2 inches in width and 2 and 3 inches in length. The battery compartment will be slightly larger than this.

Remove the cover of the battery compartment by sliding the cover away from the phone. If you are unable to locate the compartment yourself, check your manual for a diagram of the phone.

It can be very difficult to remove the battery compartment cover on some phones, so be sure to use the gripping ridges when sliding the cover off of the phone.
