How to Build a Singing Bird Box
Singing boxes are those boxes that sing a tune when they are opened. They are popular as sentimental gifts and are usually quite expensive in stores. Among the most popular of singing box themes is a singing bird box, which plays the tune of a bird singing when opened. Rather than having to pay an expensive sum for this type of gift, you can easily make one yourself for less cost with the appropriate supplies.

1
Select a box that you would like to play a signing bird tune upon opening. A nice jewelry box works nicely and looks professional.
-
2
Position the singing bird electronic music movement within the box in an inconspicuous location where it is not blatantly obvious. Beneath a shelf or compartment that holds rings or other jewelry is most ideal.
-
-
3
Apply superglue to the back of the electronic music movement, coating it liberally, but not so much so that it will squirt from the sides when pressed down against the jewelry box.
-
4
Press the glue-coated back of the electronic music movement firmly against its desired location within the music box.
-
5
Unscrew the top of the electronic music movement and insert the appropriate size of batteries within the movement. Some electronic music movements require different battery sizes.
-
6
Test your singing bird box by opening the lid to see if the electronic music movement begins playing the singing bird tune. It should play upon the sensing of movement.

Place the singing bird electronic music movement within a box that contains images of birds on the outside of it, or use a blank box and decorate it yourself for complete customization.
Beware of damaging your box when gluing the electronic music movement inside the box. Ensure that you have the movement positioned as you want it before gluing it into place.
