Choose an HP Web page depending on the type of equipment you are looking to buy. The HP consumer sells equipment that is generally for home use and the HP business site sells standard business equipment.

Navigate through either the business or consumer site using the navigation buttons on the side of the page. Equipment on each page is separated into categories, such as servers, printers, and computers. Choose the computer option to see the list of available refurbished computer units.

Select a computer from the list of refurbs by clicking the link for the unit. You will be taken to the computer's individual page, and additional information on the product will be displayed.

Choose "Add to Cart" to put the selected item in your checkout cart. Continue searching for products and adding them to the cart or click the "View Cart & Checkout" button to move into the purchasing screen.

Pick a method of shipment under "Order summary," enter your ZIP code and select your form of payment. Refurbished products can be shipped standard, two day, or next day. Payment options include credit card and PayPal. Once you have made your selections, click "Next."
