How to Make a Cinnamon and Anise Pumice Stone
Making a cinnamon and anise pumice stone is a simple way to add a rich, refreshing fragrance to an everyday cleansing product without using harsh chemicals and fragrances often found in store-bought products. A homemade cinnamon and anise pumice stone also makes a wonderful gift as part of a basket with homemade lotion, moisturizer, or shampoo and conditioner. Things You'll Need
- Natural pumice stone
- 2 tbsp. jojoba oil
- 10 drops cinnamon essential oil
- 8 drops anise essential oil
- Cotton swab

Place a natural pumice stone in a small mixing bowl. Put 2 tbsp. of jojoba oil, 10 drops of cinnamon essential oil and 8 drops of anise essential oil into a small saucepan over low heat.

Warm the mixture for about three minutes. Remove from the heat and stir with a wooden spoon or a disposable stirrer.

Dip a cotton swab into the oil mixture and dab it on the pumice stone. Continue this process until the pumice stone is saturated with oil. Let the stone air-dry without covering for 24 hours before first use.

Tips & Warnings
If the oil runs out on the stone, you can always repeat this process with the same stone.
Avoid mixing or storing any type of homemade skin or body care products in an aluminum container. Heavy metals may affect your body by entering into your bloodstream.
