How to Dye Hair Platinum

Blond is one of the most sought after colors by many, many women (and men, too). Although blond hair can be beautiful, if you're not a natural blond it can be high maintenance. With darker hair colored platinum (a very light blond), as soon as the roots start growing in they will be very noticeable. You may have to color your hair every four to five weeks to avoid dark roots. If you're up for the challenge of platinum blond, go out and by your favorite shade, put on your latex gloves and begin dying your locks. Does this Spark an idea?

Combine the hair color with the developer in the application bottle which is provided with the color.

      Style your hair as usual.

Tips & Warnings

  • Special shampoo and conditioners for color-treated hair can be purchased at any drugstore or beauty supply store to enhance and protect your color.

  • Always make sure you can "wear" platinum blond. It's a very bright blond that not everyone can pull off. If you don't have the skin tone for it, it will make your skin look gray and washed out.
