How to Adjust Billy Blanks' Billy Bands

Billy Blanks is the world re-known inventor of such fitness systems as "Tae Bo" and "T3: Total Transformation Training." Billy developed a set of resistance bands that are designed to add to your work out that are called "Billy Bands." Whether you own the regular Billy Bands or the Elite series, you will need to know how to adjust Billy Blanks Bands so you can get the most out of each exercise. To know what length you need, follow Billy's instructions for each exercise as the length will change.

Instructions

    • 1

      Hold your Billy Band by the handle so the band--with the foot loop end--is resting on the floor.

      Pull end of the band that is inserted through the plastic collar where the webbing from the handle meets toward the handle until the resistance band is the correct length for your exercise.

      Push the small plastic ball that is tethered to the webbing of the handle into the collar. The ball will press the band into position in the collar. Tug on the end of the band--with the foot loop--to lock the ball into place.

      Reverse these directions to lengthen your billy band.

Tips & Warnings

  • Before you begin your exercise, move through the motion slowly with your newly adjusted band to make sure it is the length that you need it.

  • Before beginning any exercise program, consult your doctor to make sure you are in good enough shape to undertake it. Attempting to do too strenuous a program can lead to heart attack or serious muscle injury.
