How to Use a Box As a Wishing Well for a Baby Shower
A wishing well is a wonderful way for the parents-to-be to collect all greeting cards, gift cards, money and notes. Although, you can purchase a wishing well through a party store or other retailer, why not save money by making your own with simple items like a box and decorative gift wrap? Things You'll Need
- Box
- Decorative gift wrap
- Clear tape
- Box cutters
- Cardstock
- Felt tip marker

Wrap the box in decorative gift wrap. Be sure to tape the gift wrap neatly because the box will be on display.

Using a box cutter, cut a small slit in the top of the box. The slit should be about 1/4" wide and four inches long, or big enough to fit an envelope through.

Fold a piece of cardstock in half. The cardstock will be used to label the wishing well. Use your felt tip marker to write something like 'baby's wishing well' on the cardstock.

Place the box (wishing well) and cardstock on an entry table or on the gift table so that guests can find it easily at the baby shower.

Tips & Warnings
Choose a decorative gift wrap that compliments the theme of the baby shower or if it's a boy, use blue gift wrap and if it's a girl, pink gift wrap.
You can also choose to print the wishing well label from your computer instead of hand writing it.
For a decorative touch, use a large ribbon to tie around the box (wishing well).
Encourage your guests to write down a wish for mom and baby and put these wishes in the wishing well.
