Instructions

Purchase a hair-drying towel that is specially made from water-absorbent materials, such as ultra-fine microfibers. Microfiber hair-drying towels are lightweight, draw water from the hair more quickly than most other towels, and are available at bath shops and over the Internet.

You can use a regular towel to towel-dry your hair, but it should be 19 inches by 39 inches or larger, and made from water-absorbent material such as terry cloth. If you have long hair, you might need to use a bath-size towel.

After washing your hair, comb out any tangles, and gently squeeze out excess water with your hands.

    • 3

Place the towel over your hair, and use it to gently press out the water. Lean forward until your hair flips over to repeat the towel-drying procedure on the bottom layers of your hair. If you have curly hair, scrunch the towel with the hair in your hand to help set the curls. Never stretch or rub your hair while using a towel to dry your hair, this can damage it and cause it to frizz.

Towel-dry your hair by wrapping your hair in a towel and attaching it on top of your head like a turban. You can wrap your hair on top of your head with one of your own terry cloth towels, or purchase a specially designed hair-drying turban towel that easily attaches to the top of your head with a strip of elastic. Hair-drying turban towels are available at bath shops and over the Internet.

Tips & Warnings
