1
Purchase a standard cork board at any craft or hardware store. They should cost anywhere between $20 to $40, depending on the size and frame material. Measure the length and width of your cork board. Write down the measurements, adding 3 inches to both the length and width. This will allow enough fabric to wrap around the back of the board. Set the cork board aside.
-
2
Lay your quilted fabric on a flat, clean surface. Use a yard stick or tape measure to mark where you need to cut on your fabric. Use a pencil or fabric marking pen to make your marks.

3
Cut out the fabric where you made the measurement marks. Test to see that it fits the cork board by laying it on top of the board and wrapping the ends around the back of the board.
-
4
If it fits, start stapling the fabric to the back of the cork board. Fold the fabric over at the corners and pull it taut, making sure the front is smooth.
To make the board lie flat against the wall when you hang it up, you might need to trim some of the fabric at the corners.

5
Place strips of ribbon at a diagonal angle, starting from a corner of the board. Each strip of ribbon should be parallel to one another and the ends should reach around to the back of the board, where you can staple them.
Repeat this process at another corner of the board, resulting in a criss-crossed effect on the front of the board.

6
Hot glue large fabric covered buttons on the center of each criss-cross. This will allow you to place memos and notes on the board without having to use thumb tacks. Let the glue dry completely before hanging up your linen cork board.

Tips & Warnings
Pull the fabric tightly across the cork board as you staple the fabric to the back of the board.
Do not cover the metal nail hanger on the back of the board with fabric. If you cover it up, you will not be able to hang up your cork board.
