How to Make Raw Almond and Vanilla Body Lotion
Raw almond and vanilla body lotion is a simple, easy-to-prepare lotion that will help nourish and moisturize rough or damaged skin. This body lotion is ideal for all skin types. Things You'll Need
- 1/4 cup distilled water
- 1 tsp. pure vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp. borax powder
- 3 tbsp. beeswax, grated
- 1/4 cup raw coconut oil
- 1/4 cup raw almond oil
- 20 drops vanilla essential oil

Pour the water in a small saucepan and add the vanilla extract. Bring to the boil and add the borax powder. Stir with a wooden spoon and remove from heat.

Combine the beeswax, coconut oil and almond oil in a separate saucepan and heat until the beeswax has melted. Remove from heat and add the vanilla essential oil.

Pour the contents of the saucepan with the borax into the saucepan with the beeswax while stirring constantly.

Stir the mixture until it cools to room temperature and becomes a cream. Transfer to a small glass jar with a tight-fitting lid.

Tips & Warnings
To use, apply the body lotion to the skin in tight, circular motions with clean hands.
Avoid storing or mixing any type of homemade body lotion or cosmetics products in an aluminum container, as there is serious concern about heavy metals entering the bloodstream through the pores.
