Instructions

    • 1

Using the Swiffer mop head as a guide, cut the old towels or microfiber clothes to the correct size. Tuck the cloth into the mop cloth holder to make sure it fits.

    • 2

Mix the Murphy's oil soap and water in a bucket. Murphy's oil soap is safe to use on laminate, wood, tile, and linoleum.

    • 3

Dip the mop head lightly into the solution to dampen, and mop your floors as usual.

    • 4

Remove the dirty cloth. Launder separately with your other cleaning rags.

Tips & Warnings

  • If you own the Swiffer Wet Jet model, you might be able to reuse the empty solution container by removing it and pouring the homemade solution in with a funnel.

  • Buy microfiber cloths in multi-packs in the automotive aisle; they usually cost less this way than buying them in the cleaning section of your store.
