How to Clean Laundry Stains With WD-40

Whether it's salad dressing, motor oil, or bacon grease, chances are a favorite shirt or tablecloth has fallen victim to a grease stain. Even set-in grease stains deserve another chance to be removed. Using WD-40 to clean laundry stains is a tried and true method for getting out grease.

Things You'll Need

• Rag
• WD-40
• Laundry detergent

Instructions

1. Put the rag under the stain. This will protect the work surface.

2. Spray the stain with WD-40, saturating it.

3. Allow the item to sit for 30 minutes.

4. Wash the item as you normally would in the washing machine, with laundry detergent.

5. Look at the stain before you put the item in the dryer to make sure it's gone. If it remains, repeat the process. Otherwise, dry the garment.
