Do a patch test with the purple dye before applying the hair dye to your hair. Select a small piece of skin, like the upper forearm, and wash with soap and water. Place a small amount of the purple hair dye on the section of skin and let dry for 24 hours. If no irritation of the piece of skin occurs, the hair dye should be safe to use on your hair.
