Instructions

  1. Enlarging With a Copier

    • 1

Turn on the copier. Lay the document to be enlarged face-down on the glass. Close the lid.

    • 2

Select how much you want the document to be enlarged. The buttons and commands to do this vary by machine. It is usually entered as a percentage. If the image you want to enlarge is 5 inches by 5 inches and you want it to be 6 inches by 6 inches, select 120% as the enlargement amount. Selecting a number less than 100% will shrink the document.

    • 3

Push the "copy" or "start" button. This should create your document.

Tips & Warnings

  • Most copiers have a limit of 200% for copy enlargements. If you are trying to make your image a lot larger, make a copy at 200%, then remove the original document from the glass and replace it with the enlarged copy. Decide how much bigger the next copy needs to be than the first copy and put that in for the percentage. Do this as necessary until you have an image the size you want.
