How to Zoom Text in Internet Explorer 8

Internet Explorer is Microsoft's flagship browser that is delivered with its operating system. One feature of Internet Explorer is the ability make text appear larger and smaller. This zoom feature allows you to magnify text and images up to 1,000 percent.

      Start Internet Explorer.

      Type a web URL in the address bar of Internet Explorer.

      Select the "Change Zoom Level" button. The button is located in the bottom right-hand corner of Internet Explorer. The button contains a picture of a magnifying glass and a percentage.

      Select the "Change Zoom Level" pull-down menu and select the zoom level you want to use. Options include: 50 percent, 75 percent, 100 percent, 125 percent, 150 percent, 200 percent, 400 percent and Custom.

Tips & Warnings

  • Select the "Change Zoom Level" pull-down menu and choose "Custom." Type the "Percentage Zoom" you want to use up to 1,000 percent.
