Every year it's the same old promises that we try to keep right after the New Year. The top ten include losing weight, stop smoking, stop drinking and other promises that maybe too difficult if not disappointing if they are not kept. This year make resolutions that you can attain.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • paper and pen
  • daily reminders
  • support
  • time
  1. Step 1

Before the New Year approaches, give yourself some time, think about a realistic goal. Then set it, this means a time period and a action. in other words "don't wait until the last minute to set yourself up for failure". New Years is a time of celebration, a time to remember and a time to learn from your past. Ask yourself this question, what could I do this year that was different then last?

  2. Step 2

Its here another year, hardly believable, time goes so quickly. That's the attitude most people should take when it come to making a resolution. Time is on your side! Attainable goals, are goals that can be reached, within a certain time period. like making a doctors appointment, you set a time and a place, realistic to achieving the goal. Is it within reach? is it attainable? How can I get there?

  3. Step 3

The most important thing to remember is " am I doing this for me" if you're doing it to please someone else, chances are you might not make it. The time has to be considered, can it be done by this time? is the goal realistic and can it be attained? If so try your darnedest and if all else failed, take pride in knowing, you gave it your go.

Tips & Warnings
  • Keep goals realistic
  • Give yourself time
  • don't give up
  • try and try again, you'll get it.
