How to Get The Microdermabrasion Training and Certification for Using The Microdermabrasion Machines at The Spa

Microdermabrasion is a skin resurfacing technique in which the dead skin cells in the topmost part of the epidermis are removed by exfoliation. This treatment can be done at home by using at home microdermabrasion kits or it can be done by visiting the local spa or a skin care clinic.

That said if you are an aesthetician then for performing the microdermabrasion on the patients you will need to have the adequate training done. You will need to obtain the microdermabrasion training as well as certification.

Here are the steps that you need to take for the microdermabrasion training.

Instructions

    • 1

Log on to the NCEA.tv and get the entire training agenda that has been prepared by NCEA for the aesthetician and estheticians. The NCEA is an organization which is known as the National Coalition of Estheticians, Manufacturers/Distributors and Associations. This agenda will help you prepare for checking the course review material which the aesthetician institutes will offer.

    • 2

Go online and find out about the aesthetician institute which is near to your home.

    • 3

Check the course content that they offer for the Microdermabrasion training. This should match the course content offered by NCEA. More than prescribed by NCEA is fine but less that what NCEA offers is not acceptable.

    • 4

Once you are OK with course content then pay the fees and enroll in the course.

    • 5

The other method to obtain the microdermabrasion certification is to go for a certification given by microdermabrasion machine manufactures.

    • 6

You can log online to the machine seller website and take an online test. You will also need to view the training movie as well as read the brochure that the manufacturer has given out.

Tips & Warnings

  • The cost of microdermabrasion training at an esthetic institute will be around $300 and it will be generally a 14 hour course.

  • Always go for a registered and a reputed skin institute for training and certification
