1
De-pot your eye shadow, blush, face powder and other makeup that you want in your palette. Take a small knife and insert the tip between the makeup pan and the plastic packaging. Then gently lift up until the pan pops out. You might have to play with it a bit, depending on how much glue was used to put it together. Be careful not to cut yourself or break the makeup.
If you absolutely can't get the pan out, try heating it. Set it on the metal or ceramic part of a heated hair straightener for about 30 seconds or by holding it over a blow dryer for about 30 seconds. This should help loosen the glue.

When you've removed all of your pans, get your DVD or CD case ready. If you're using a CD case, remove the part inside the case that holds the CD. Gently pull the two pieces apart. Be careful so you don't break the case in the process.

If you wish, you can cut a piece of card stock to fit into the opposite side of your case. On the piece of card stock, write down the colors and brands of the makeup you used, then line it up with the colors in your palette. You could also print off labels and glue them to the card stock to make it look more professional.
