How to Stop Annoying Telemarketing Calls
Few things are more annoying than telemarketing phone calls. Despite the disdain they rear in people, companies still use telemarketing in an effort to sell products. Fortunately, the FTC has developed and maintains the National Do Not Call Registry to block annoying telemarketing phone calls.

Go to DoNotCall.gov.

Click the "Register Now" link in the middle of the page.

Enter the area code and numbers of up to three phone numbers -- this can include cell phone numbers, as well.

Enter your email address, and confirm it by entering it a second time.

Click the "Submit" button and confirm your information is correct. Click "Register."

Log in to your email account and open the email from the National Do Not Call Registry.

Click on the link provided to verify and confirm the registered number. You will have to do this for each number you register.

Tips & Warnings
It takes up to 31 days for telemarketers to remove your number from their calling lists.
File a complaint with the FTC if a telemarketer does not stop calling you after the allotted 31-day time frame.
Your number is registered for life once you complete the registration; there is no need for renewal.
