How to Avoid NoFollow Websites and Find DoFollow Websites
When you create a website, the only way to get noticed is to get links pointing to your site from another one. It's a way of building an online reputation, which gives you a higher rank in search engines. The more links you aquire, the closer you get to being the number one search result for your topic.
A surprising fact to most people: many sites they get links from are of little to no value. That's why you need to know the difference between DoFollow and NoFollow.
It used to be that every time you posted a link, some of that site's "link juice" would be taken from their site and given to yours in the Google ranking structure. That is a DoFollow. However, many web masters have optimized their websites with "NoFollow" in the source code, which means your link is sitting there, but you don't get ranked any higher in search engines.
There is a Mozilla Firefox add-on that makes all NoFollows glow the instant you see links in a website.
