Giving yourself a facial will improve your skin almost instantly, giving it a natural, healthy glow. If you would like to receive the benefits from getting a facial without spending the high costs from a salon or spa, you may make a variety of facials from home and apply them yourself. Recipes are available which use many items you currently have at home, such as fruit, juice and other grocery items.
- 1 tsp. grapefruit juice
- 1 tsp. sour cream
- 1 egg white
- 2 tbsp. mashed avocado
- 1 tsp. honey
- 1 tsp. plain full-fat yogurt
- 1/2 tsp. lemon juice
Place the egg white into a medium bowl and beat until it reaches a fluffy consistency.
Add 1 tsp. of sour cream and 1 tsp. of grapefruit juice to the bowl and mix with the beaten egg white.
Apply the mixture to your freshly washed face, while avoiding the areas around your eyes. Leave the facial on for 15 minutes, then rinse off with warm water.
Combine the mashed avocado, 1 tsp. of honey, 1 tsp. of plain yogurt and 1/2 tsp. of lemon juice to a medium bowl and mix well.
Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and place it in the fridge for 30 minutes. While you are waiting for the facial to cool, wash your face with a mild cleanser, rinsing with cool water.
Remove the facial from the fridge after 30 minutes and apply it to your face, avoiding contact with your eyes. Leave it on for 15 minutes, then rinse off with warm water.
