How to use Diamond Willow, log homes

      You like the log or rustic look. Try diamond willow. Diamond willow can be found around rivers and sloughs in low places. Cut diamond willow in the spring. It is much easier to peal then. Peal it immediately don't let it get dry.

      Choose sizes you can use. Large diamond willow is hard to find and worth a premium. Cut into pieces that you can use. If building a rail or something cut accordingly. Don't waste anything it is hard to get.

      Diamond willow can be used for many different projects. Make hand rails out of it by making tendons and drilling. Try to choose equal sized pieces for this. You can cut them for curtain rods to. Making furniture is another neat project with diamond willow.

      Bending willow is not that hard unless it is dry. Make a jig and bend pieces you need. Let dry or fasten in desired shape.
