1
Watch the movie "Cinderella" with the whole family. Decide what scenes or settings in the movie capture you. You might like the idea of the royal ball where the prince sweeps Cinderella off her feet, the magical scene where the Fairy Godmother grants Cinderella's wishes, or the cute parts with the mice and birds scurrying around to help.

2
Decide how literal you want to get with your decor. For a more subtle style, you may wish only to incorporate some colors and use some artwork and accessories inspired by the film. On the other hand, you may wish to turn your room into a replica of one of your favorite scenes. How far you want to take your ideas is up to you.

3
Choose your color palette based on your decorating vision. For the ball scene you may wish to select whites, pastel pinks ,and blues. If Cinderella's humble little room of stone walls and wood beams inspires you, go with natural, earthy tones.

Be creative when decorating your walls. Paint a castle mural. Stencil the walls with letters to give it a storybook feel. Do a faux stone paint treatment and add faux wood rustic beams. Frame the window in wood, just like the window Cinderella gazed out of longingly when she dreamed. Cut out colored pictures of the mice and birds wearing little vests and kerchiefs and decoupage them to the walls. Cut out circles of transparent page protectors, and cut out small images of Cinderella scrubbing the floors. Glue the images to the circles, then glue the circles to the walls to mirror the famous soap bubble reflections in the film.

Keep your theme in mind as you choose your furnishings. Stately, ornate furniture, such as shield back chairs and tables with decoratively carved legs work well for the castle theme. Plain, rustic wooden furnishings go well with a theme revolving around Cinderella's room. Be creative with furnishings if you prefer, such as making the world from the point of view of Cinderella's mice. Paint cable spools and wrap them with yarn to create fun stools. Turn a large wicker planter over to resemble the sewing basket, and top it with a piece of beveled round glass for a table.

6
Pay a visit to your local Disney store or shop online for authentic Disney accessories. Use animation cells for wall hangings, place some Cinderella statues or snow globes around the room, or get a replica of the famous pumpkin carriage.
-
7
Be creative with your accessories. Spray paint artificial pumpkins white and paint carriage windows on them. Get a dress dummy and drape it with a Cinderella costume. Place stuffed mice and birds around the room or decorate a castle dollhouse to look like the castle in the movie.
