How to Wrap Quadriceps for Tendonitis
Quadriceps tendonitis is a knee injury typically caused by a sudden increase in intensity or duration of an activity. Symptoms include pain straightening the lower leg--particularly right above the kneecap--swelling above the kneecap, morning and night stiffness and heat sensation in the area where the quads meet the knee. To heal it, you need to cease the activity that caused it. According to the website bigkneepain.com, "Wrapping the knee in an ACE bandage (elastic bandage) can limit swelling and relieve pain." If posssible, keep the leg elevated and ice it as well.
Instructions

1
Get elastic bandage, such as an Ace bandage, to wrap your knee. Ace bandage is available online, in medical supply stores or in most drugstores.
-
2
Using one hand, put one end of the bandage on the knee--a couple of inches below the swollen area-- and hold on to the bandage roll with the other hand. Wrap the bandage twice below the knee, ensuring that the loose end is secure under the layers.

Keep wrapping moving up the knee. Each wrap should partly cover the previous wrap. The swollen area should be covered entirely. Continue a couple of inches above the swollen area. The goal of wrapping is to compress the swollen area, so wrap the bandage as many times as necessary for this to occur, but not so tight that blood flow is jeopardized.

4
Fasten the bandage with the clip the Ace bandage should have come with or use athletic tape.

Tips & Warnings
Do not sleep with the bandage. If your doctor agrees, remove the bandage for a few minutes during the day as well to help blood flow.
