Instructions

1. Purchase the Magicjack wither from a local retailer (such as Best Buy, Radio Shack and even Walmart) or from the "MagicJack.com" website. This device usually runs around $40.

2. Plug the Magicjack piece into any available USB port on your computer.

3. Connect a phone cord into the Magicjack, then plug the other end of the phone cable into the phone you want to use with the system.

4. Contact Magicjack (an activation number is included with the Magicjack device when you purchase it). You are require to pay a $20 fee for the activation year (and every year following) to keep the service. However, after the one-time yearly fee, there are no other monthly charges. At this time you are given your Magicjack phone number.

5. Power on your Internet modem. From here you are free to dial anyone within the United States and even Canada without being charged.
