How to Get IRS Forms From a Library
If you need IRS forms, you can obtain them in several ways. You can call the IRS and request a form, but you will have to wait a few days to receive it by mail. Another option you have is to go to your local library and check for the form. Most libraries keep IRS forms in stock, especially around tax season.

1
Write down the forms you need before going to the library. You shouldn't expect the librarian or clerks to be familiar with tax forms. If you get the wrong form, you will have to go back for the correct one.

2
Go the library and look for an area where tax forms available. During tax season, many libraries will place federal and state tax forms in a conspicuous location near the entrance to the building. Look through the stacks of forms for the one you need.
