How to Change the Language on Microsoft Works

Microsoft Works chooses its language based on the language settings in Windows 7. To change the language in Microsoft Works, you need only change the language in Windows 7. This may require an optional language pack, which is freely available through the Microsoft website. Once it's installed, switching between languages is achieved with a few simple clicks.

Step 1

Download and install the language pack for the language your require. The language pack is available from the Microsoft website (see "Resources"), and can be installed by clicking "Start," then "Run" and browsing to the downloaded file to execute it.

Step 2

Click "Start," then "Control Panel," and click "Change display language" under the section "Clock, Language, and Region."

Step 3

Click "Change keyboards..." and select your language from the drop-down menu under "Default input language." If you do not see your language, click "Add," select your language and click "OK." Click "OK" again to exit "Text Services and Input Languages."

Step 4

Click the drop-down menu under "Choose a display language" and select the language you want. Click "Apply" and "OK."
