How to Fix Acne Marks & Bad Skin
Bacteria that result in acne can cause the skin to become covered in acne marks, which can be embarrassing and painful. People with this type of bad skin can have a difficult time clearing their skin if they do not cleanse, medicate and moisturize their skin properly. It is important to cleanse the skin gently, medicate the skin using a low-concentration benzoyl peroxide cream, and moisturize the skin with an oil-free moisturizer. Does this Spark an idea?

1
Cleanse the skin gently using a soap designed for sensitive skin types. People mistakenly try to clean their acne-prone skin using a strong, chemically based acne soap or a cleanser formulated for oily skin types, which can be too drying and irritating to the skin. A gentle soap designed for sensitive skin types will cleanse the skin lightly without causing irritation or inflammation. Lather the skin affected by acne lightly, then rinse off the lather using warm water. Do not scrub the skin, which can exacerbate acne. Repeat twice per day.

2
Medicate the skin using benzoyl peroxide cream. There are several strengths of benzoyl peroxide cream. While it seems logical to use the highest-strength cream on acne breakouts, this can actually cause redness, peeling, itching, and even a mild chemical burn on the skin. Use only the lowest-strength benzoyl peroxide cream, 2.5 percent in concentration, which will clear the skin without causing damaging side effects. Smooth a dime-sized amount of the cream onto the skin, using a light touch until it has been absorbed into the skin. Repeat twice a day after cleansing the skin.

Moisturize the skin using an oil-free moisturizing lotion. Any time a benzoyl peroxide cream is used, even the lowest concentration, it is important to follow it with an oil-free moisturizing lotion to keep the skin soft and supple. Use only an oil-free lotion, which will not contain oils or waxes that could clog up the pores or cause more acne breakouts. Spread a dime-sized amount of the moisturizing lotion onto the skin with the fingertips until it soaks into the skin. Repeat twice per day after the benzoyl peroxide cream has dried on the skin.
