Tips & Warnings
For severely infested carpets, try mixing equal parts ground salt and borax powder; then follow the outlined steps.
A broom works well in place of a brush for working the salt into your carpet.
Never allow your pets to consume salt or borax, either from the container or from your carpet.
Do not allow salt to sit on your carpet for long periods of time in hot or humid climates, as salt draws moisture into your carpet. Check with your carpet manufacturer about whether your carpet will tolerate prolonged exposure to borax powder.
