1. Go to the Website media-convert.com. This service converts hundreds of file formats and is one of the most versatile conversion services available. It is also free.

2. Select an audio file you want to convert by clicking the "Browse" button. The most common audio file types include WAV, MP3, and MP4.

3. Choose an output file format from the drop-down menu. This menu displays all of the possible output formats that a file can be converted to. Select "iMelody ringtone format (.imy)" from the menu.

4. Click the "OK" button to the right of the output drop-down menu. This will begin the conversion. A meter will display the progress of the conversion.

5. Save the converted file to your computer by clicking the link that Media-Convert provides after the conversion is over.
