How to Upload Photos in Facebook

Photos play a large role in the popularity of Facebook. Sharing images with friends and family members adds an immediacy to the news feeds of the people on your friend list. Attend an event and snap a photo; upload it the same day to your Facebook profile.

Instructions

1. Log in to your Facebook account on your computer.

2. Click "Add Photo" in the status bar at the top of the your home screen or profile page.

3. Choose from three options: Upload Photo or Video, Use Webcam and Create Photo Album.

4. Select "Upload Photo or Video" to upload a single photo. Click "Choose File" to navigate to the photo on your computer and select it. Type a message concerning the photo into the area provided. Designate the privacy setting for the photo in the lower right corner of the upload box and then click "Post."

5. Choose "Use Webcam" to take a photo before posting. Click "Allow" in the pop-up window to allow Facebook to access your webcam. Click "Close" and view a preview of the camera image. Select a filter if desired from the left corner of the window. Smile and click the camera icon at the bottom of the window. Add a comment to the photo if desired. Select a privacy setting and click "Post."

6. Select "Create Photo Album" to create a new album and upload several photos to it. Click "Select Photos." Locate and click the photos, holding down the "Command" key to select more than one at a time. When all are selected, click "Open." Enter the name for the album when prompted. Choose a privacy setting and photo quality for the album. A progress bar displays during the upload. One it is finished, click "Create an Album" to go to the new album.
