How to Rotate a Windows XP Tablet Screen
Windows XP Tablet Edition is a specialized version of the Windows XP operating system that allows you to use functions reserved for tablet computers. If you want to rotate the screen on your tablet computer, there are a few ways to do so. The easiest method is to simply rotate and lower the screen on your tablet to move it into the "tablet" position. On most tablet computers, this will signal the Windows XP operating system to change the screen orientation. If this doesn't work, though, there are a few other actions you can take.

Try rotating the screen using a hotkey combination. To do this, press the "CTRL" and "ALT" keys, then while holding them down, press one of the four arrow keys on your computer. This will tell Windows XP to change the orientation of the screen to the direction of the arrow that you pressed.

Use the screen rotation button that may have been included on your computer. This button is present on many tablet machines and is recognizable by a circular arrow symbol. Pressing this will send a signal to the computer to rotate the display by 90 degrees. You can press this button as many times as is necessary to get the screen into the desired position. If this button is non-functional, you need to install driver software that can be found at the website of your computer manufacturer.

Use mouse or pen gestures to rotate the screen layout. Mouse or pen gestures are programmable gestures that you can set up, using your tablet computer's software, that will tell Windows XP to rotate the screen. If you don't know how to set up gestures, refer to the manual that came with your computer, or go online to the manufacturer's website to find out how to set them up.
