How to Lose Hair With Hair Wrapping
Wrapping the hair is a popular and easy way to set the hair for wearing a straight hairstyle. The hair is combed down, and then gently brushed section by section around the head. Once all of the hair has been smoothed around the head, the hair is then tied down with a head scarf to further flatten the hairstyle. The following morning, the "wrap" is combed down and the hair is worn straight without the assistance of heat. While wrapping the hair allows the wearer a break from heat damage, the manipulation required to comb the hair around the head can result in hair loss. Does this Spark an idea?

How to Lose Hair With Wrapping
-
1
Prepare your hair for wrapping while it is laden with product buildup. The dirtier your hair is, the more moisture deficient it is. This will increase your chance of losing hair to breakage.
-
2
Start combing your hair down with a rat tail, or any fine-toothed comb. Though these combs are popular for really getting wraps super sleek, they can cause increased damage to the hair during the wrapping process.

3
Spray wrapped hair with holding spray, hair spritz or hardening protein gel. While these products keep the wrap looking defined and polished, and even provide hold after the hair is combed down out of the wrap, these hair-stiffening products can cause delicate hair fibers to break under combing manipulation.

4
Comb down the wrap and apply heat to your wrapped hair. One of the worst things you can do with a wrap is to use heat to straighten it further once it has been combed out. Heat use completely undermines the point of wrapping in the first place -- to avoid excessive heat use. Heat depletes the hair's moisture content, which can lead to excessive hair loss and breakage.

Tips & Warnings
Attempting any one of the four steps above will result in hair loss and breakage. Hair wrapping should always be done on clean, well-conditioned hair. Hair should be thoroughly de-tangled with larger-tooth combs first and then smoothed with smaller-tooth combs. Avoid spraying hardening products on the hair wrap as it sets. Finish with sprays, pomades, and oils after the hair has been combed completely down and out of the wrap.
