How to Add a New Contact to My Yahoo Mailing List

A Yahoo mailing list is an excellent way to send a message to multiple people with just a single click of your mouse. It even allows you to send a mass email to an entire list.

      Sign in to your Yahoo Mail account using your own user name or password. If you have a personalized Yahoo business mail account, then sign into it with your business email user name and password.

      After logging in, look at the panel of the left side of the screen for the word "Contacts." Clicking on "Contacts" will expand a list of options. If you have already added contacts to a mailing list, the name will be listed here. If you have not already created a mailing list, you will see "Add" next to "Contacts." Click "Add" to create a new mailing list if you do not have one already. Otherwise, click on the name of the list you wish to use.

      To add a contact to a list, find "Add Contact" on the main screen. Then you can choose the name of the list that appears in the left side of the screen.

      Add in the email of your contact that you want to include in the mailing list. Click on the "Add Contact to List" button. You can repeat this until you add all of your contacts to the list.

      Once you complete creating your list, you can go to the "Add Contact Address" and click the "Save" button.

      Once you're done, you can view your entire mailing list contacts by simply clicking on the mailing list name. The number of members under that mailing list will pop up, and you can edit information or remove a contact.

      If you want to send out an email to a mailing list, click on "Compose Mail" and add in your attachments and/or write your message. Then, just add in the mailing list name in the text box next to the word "To." Another way to send an email to the entire list is to click on the "To" link and choose the mailing list name from "Categories" that appears as a pop-up. Clicking the button that says "Insert Checked Contacts" after you have selected the mailing list will add the list to the recipients of the email.
