1
Wash and condition the hair, then towel dry it to where it is damp but not dripping. For best results, the hair needs to be wet during styling. Conditioning is a must for long hair, otherwise, it will be hard to brush and work with, and the hairdo will not be smooth.

2
Brush the hair into a typical ponytail and secure it with any basic ponytail fastener. Position the tail in the center of the back of the head, down at the nape of the neck, or high up on the head. Each variation looks great and provides a different look.

3
Insert a 2-inch-stemmed flower down through the center of the pony tail, inside the ponytail holder. If the fit is not secure, insert bobby pins diagonally, one on each side, to hold the stem in place. Add a flower on each side of the center flower in the same way for a showier look.

4
Brush the hair into a half ponytail. Do this by brushing the hair straight back, then gathering the upper layer of hair on each side just above the ears. Brush this hair smoothly together and back like you would a full ponytail. Secure it with a barrette that holds the hair tightly.
-
5
Insert two to three flowers on each side of the barrette by sliding each 2-inch stem up under the hair. The stem will point up toward the top of the head, but diagonally toward the under side of the barrette. The flowers will lie below the center of the half pony tail. Secure the stems using bobby pins or small hair clips.

6
Create a small pony tail on each side of the head, twist and pull back. Fasten them together at the center of the back of the head. The twists should be about 1/2-inch thick.
-
7
Insert four to five flowers through the twist on each side of the head. Aim the stems down toward the shoulders and angled slightly toward the back, The stems for this style should be 1 to 1 1/2 inches long. Secure using bobby pins. This creates a striking "halo" look.
