How to Find Used Autos on Craigslist to Start Your Used Car Search

In today's tough economic times many of us our searching for used autos rather than buying new. Craigslist is a great tool for your used car search.

Craigslists boasts ads listed by buyers looking to sell a used car. There are plenty of auto classifieds with many options to choose from.

Here is a few steps to begin your used car search on Craigslist.

Instructions
  1. Step 1

    Visit the Craigslist website at www.craigslist.com. If you are looking to locate used autos nationally you have reached the right site. If you would like to see locally, select your town or nearby metro area from the Craigslist homepage to begin viewing free online classified ads.

  2. Step 2

    If you don't have a Craigslist account, signup for one. Click the "Create Account" option to create your new account. Enter a valid email address because Craigslist will send your email address a confirmation message to confirm that your account is now active and verified.

  3. Step 3

    Login with your account.

  4. Step 4

    Click the "cars and trucks" option under the "for sale" heading.

  5. Step 5

    Your used car search can now begin. Each ad contains a title describing the vehicle. Click the link to see more details which may include price, contact information, vehicle specifications, or even pictures.

  6. Step 6

    Once you've found a vehicle you are interested in either email the seller through Craigslist, or contact them by phone if a telephone number is listed.
