Instructions

    • 1

Gently comb or brush out your hair. If your hair is thick, use a large toothed comb, or brush specially designed for thick hair. If you have thin hair, most any combs or brushes should work fine. Brushing your hair removes loose hairs and tangles. It also prepares your hair for the next step.

    • 2

Squirt a quarter sized amount of leave-in hair conditioner in your hand. Rub your hands together and use your fingers and hands to "comb" the condition through your hair. Go from the scalp to the ends of your hair, slowly working in the conditioner.

    • 3

Dampen a head wrap or towel with warm water. Squeeze out any excess water, and make sure the towel is damp from edge to edge. You do not want to towel to get to wet and heavy, since that could cause discomfort for your head, neck and shoulders.

    • 4

Wrap the head wrap or towel around the top of your head. To do this, bend over and let your hair dangle toward the ground. Open up the towel and place the center on the back of your head. Bring the edges of the towel together and twist until the ends are completely twisted. Tuck the end of the twist underneath the towel at the back of your head.

    • 5

Undo the towel when you are done in the dry sauna. Take down your hair and gently comb it out. Wash and style your hair as you normally would.

Tips & Warnings

  • Work some leave-in conditioner into the ends of the hair especially well, since this is where a lot of damage occurs.
