How to Make a Baby Clothes Bouquet Pot
A baby clothes bouquet pot is a fun and unique baby shower gift. Newborn baby clothes, particular t-shirts and one-piece suits, are small enough to roll into tiny bundles and serve as "flowers" for the bouquet. Give a baby clothes bouquet to an expectant mother for a beautiful, multi-purpose gift. The new mother will have cute outfits for her little one as well as a flowerpot to plant flowers or a plant. For an adorable baby shower gift, make a baby clothes bouquet pot in just a few easy-to-follow steps.
Things You'll Need
- Eight to 10 baby clothes items
- Terra cotta pot, approximately 6 inches by 6 inches
- Floral foam block, 4 inches
- Package of 12-inch dowel rods
- Green acrylic craft paint
- Newspaper
- Paint brush
- 1 roll of pastel ribbon, 1/4 inch
- 1 roll of pastel ribbon, 1 inch
- Scissors
Instructions
-
-
1
Stick the 12-inch dowel rods into the floral foam. Spread the dowel rods evenly as in a flower bouquet.
-
2
Paint each dowel rod with the green paint. Use a newspaper underneath to catch any drips. Allow the dowel rods to dry completely.
-
-
3
Place the floral foam block and painted dowel rods into the terra cotta pot.
-
4
Tightly roll each baby clothes item, and secure with a strip of the 1/4-inch ribbon (tied in a bow in the center of the roll). Gently pull back the layers of the top portion of the roll to resemble flower petals.
-
5
Place each baby clothes roll "flower" onto each dowel rod. If any are rolled too loosely and slip down, simply re-roll them more tightly.
-
6
Wrap the 1-inch ribbon around the base of the terra cotta pot. Tie into a large bow.

Tips & Warnings
To add leaves to your stems, use hot glue to attach felt leaf cutouts or silk leaves.
Color coordinate the ribbon around the terra cotta pot with the ribbon on each tiny bundle "flower."
If you know the baby's gender, paint the terra cot pot pastel blue or pink (using acrylic craft paint).
