How to Write a Personal Doll Story
We all have a story to tell. A lucky few even get it down on paper. Often, personal artifacts like cars, furniture or toys will get you thinking about where they've been before or where they're headed next. Dolls, not only a child's plaything, have a story to tell as well.

How to Write a Personal Doll Story
-
1
Determine the angle of the story. Determine whether you want to write about the history of the physical doll, or create a story with the doll as the central character. Or maybe you'd like to try something along the lines of the American Girls series, where the main character (also personified by the doll) makes her way through various adventures growing up.

2
Brainstorm and develop a plot outline. This will make writing easier and keep you on track. Characters should face some sort of obstacle in which they succeed or fail. The clothing in which the doll is dressed may suggest a storyline.

Decide what would you like to do with the story. You may want to write the story for a relative, and you can make the story that appeals to them. Perhaps you plan to makes this story part of a larger collection. Your goal may be to acquire a publisher. Make sure the story has a home which will let others know both about the doll and your growing writing career.
